SASSA might be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it really is alarmed concerning the significant number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration website Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The assistance position created for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to permit the servicing of all clients and maximize access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
